It’s almost like an interview: we listen to who you are, what you like, and what you’ll be using the space for.
Then, we start brainstorming with you to visualize the possibilities and start planning.
Our expertise is in coaching you to unearth the things that appeal to you, and make you feel happy. We steer you toward making renovation, design, or decorating choices that represent your unique sensibilities and create a positive energy flow in that space.
We love looking for furniture, objects, artwork, plants, trees, and decor from both traditional sources, and online makers. We are not afraid to mix high-design items with practical mass market pieces.
Styling Services
We’re sensitive to the fact many people really want to update the look of certain spaces - but can’t commit to a complete re-design.
Or, they have a special event they’re hosting, and want help creating a beautiful, unique atmosphere.
In this case, we offer “mini makeover” styling sessions to give a fresh, new look via smaller changes and improvements.
We schedule a site visit and consultation to discuss how your use of certain spaces, or your taste in furnishings, has changed over time.
Then we create a styling plan to update those targeted spaces - inside or outdoors.
This might include:
Changing the paint color or surfaces of walls, cabinets, or other built-in features
Taking a beloved collection of family photos or art works and creating a cohesive & pleasing visual display from them
Re-arranging furniture or objects to make the spaces feel more open & airy - or conversely, cozy & private
Adding plantings and creating relaxation areas in garden and yard spaces

We partner with experienced contractors and tradespeople to complete the technical planning, permitting, and implementation of all design/renovation work. We strive for clear communication, honest planning schedules, and detailed budgets for every step of the process.
We’ve done jobs in NYC, the Hudson Valley, and in the Catskills. We’re now based in Kingston, NY, and work in the surrounding areas. Since 2011, we’ve hired and managed construction specialists, surveyors, tradespeople, photo crews, and landscapers, and we deeply care about the quality of the work. We like to work with honest people, who pay attention to details - and do a great job cleaning up at the end of days.
We’re able to be onsite for any out-of-town clients who’ve opted for a gut renovation of an investment property, vacation home, or outdoor space, and want a trusted eye and top-shelf communicator to liaise with trades crews and service providers. We provide oversight, feedback, and updates about the work or schedule.
