PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, TODAY’S PROGRAM WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR OUR RAIN DATE: Sunday, October 22, 2023, 3:00 pm - 5:00PM. We are so sorry for any inconvenience.

October’s event will take place indoors at the beautiful Iris Studio in Accord, NY, with a gorgeous view of the Catskills Mountains.

Tarangah, meaning wave in Sanskrit, will be a unique and powerful program of yoga, breath work, and sonic elixirs.

Participants can actively transform their health, fitness, and consciousness using this distinct guided program of movement, sound, and breathing.

Led by transformational coach, yoga teacher, and breath work instructor, Sibylle Jud, and voice artist and vibration specialist, Madeline Grace, the event will start with a therapeutic and heart opening gentle yoga sequence, then segue into the breath work and a vocal sound bath.

The breath practice taught by Sibylle resembles holotropic breath therapy, which was conceived by Stanislav and Christina Grof in the 1970’s. During this active segment, participants experience altered states of mind and body induced by the heightened oxygenation of the body’s blood. It is intended for those interested in deeper forms of self-awareness and healing.

Participants can expect to get into a deep, meditative state, and may experience visions and experiences that can cause a physical release of stagnant energy and emotions.

Madeline’s “sonic elixir” accompaniment will be a live, improvisational soundscape created with the intention of supporting participants with a full-body, sound bathing experience. These sonic elixirs, performed at specific frequencies, can help the body and brain relax into deeper states of consciousness. Some time after you return to a normal breath and consciousness, you will feel relaxed, clear, and energized!!

Some of the lasting benefits of participating in this program and these techniques have been reported as: alleviating anxiety and depression, improving sleep, improving overall energy, a safe way to explore altered states of consciousness, increased focus, and heightened creativity.

We recommend this program for adults whose cardiovascular system can support about 25 minutes worth of controlled breathing. A Q&A, discussion, and chillness hour with socializing and beverages/refreshments will take place after program. Folks who are interested, but not able to perform standing yoga, please contact us to discuss how we might include you in the program.

Please bring a yoga mat and clothes that can transition from active yoga to sitting still, as the temps cool down. Clean, Mexican yoga blankets will be available to use during the event.

We will be outdoors in a fenced, flat yard for our program. The area is wheelchair accessible, however, indoor bathroom is two steps up. We will have allergy-sensitive, anti-mosquito torches lit during the program. We hope to make you as comfortable as possible!

We are conveniently located near both the Midtown Arts and Stockade Districts in downtown Kingston, with ample lot and on-street parking nearby, as well as popular restaurants and music venues. Make a night of it!
